Ongoing site glitch 120-130

As there doesn't seem to be a way of mailing the Owner/Moderator, Jarrod? I thought I'd see if anyone had an answer here. My favourites for BB set to RWD 120-130.
When I open a post I get continuous scanning, for want of a better word, across the upper lower task bar (the one with Done bottom left) It just keeps looking for something. The posts do open but are rather laggy and it also affects writing replies, letters lag behind. This is a new post and is unaffected by this. It affects all BB forums and I don't get the problem anywhere else.
Any ideas, cures etc appreciated. Thanks.

Jarrod moved the Brickboard to a 'cloud' server, with the backup still at home. I use BB a lot, and many times during the day I will notice that I wind up on the old server for some strange reason - probably too much traffic. When I get the old server, I get ads and my login is disabled. A quick back and forth using the browser will get me to the 'cloud' platform and all is normal.

I mentioned this to Jarrod, but he was quite skeptical. He obviously doesn't use the BB as much as I do. I am just glad Jarrod has kept his original program and not succumed to the Matthewsvolvo format, where I can't see anything but advertisements.

Now, to start looking for a speedometer cable seal for the 220 overdrive. Engine oil leaks don't bother me as much as tranny oil leaks.

Photo Gallery? 120-130

Anybody else having problems with the photo gallery?

It's crashed on two different computers (Vista and XP).

Paul

Changing the "preferences" did fix the problems in the "section", but not in the photo galleries.

Fix for Brickboard glitch 120-130

If your computer screen feels like it is continously refreshes the page, robbing the cpu of cycles and making it hard to type, here is the answer from Jarrod:

Go to PREFERENCES on the right side of the screen and click the bottom box that turns off Facebook, Twitter, etc. That worked for me.

Fix for Brickboard glitch 120-130

This problem seems to have come back. It's cancelled my tick in the Facebook box and when I try and redo it, it comes up saying that my browser isn't accepting cookies. Not true of course and even if I set it to max accept all ccokies it still says it isn't. What a pain!!!!

This is usually a hosting issue with the DNS. (domain name server) You browser asks for directions and the name server gets confused. If this is running off a home server that could be the problem. Or the server software is wonky. I didn't look up where things are going, but this is likely the case.

For example, this is one reason we have to pay more to get a static IP address with our internetz. They don't want us running servers of any kind in the USA. You can set up a server with a dynamic IP, but it has to route through a proxy DNS and they are problematic and sometimes slow.

I can't offer any cures, but I have noticed the same problem for probably about the last month or so.
It's usually easiest to contact Jarrod via a post in the Opinions section.
