Carbon Canister with HIF6 120-130

Just wondering about putting in a carbon canister in my 122, and was wondering if anyone have an opinion about different carbon canisters.

I have some 1800? carbon canisters:

I do have a 240 one too.

I was given these pictures of a carbon setup:

Which looks good. I was going to mount it in the fender like the 240.

Which canister is best? What about the valve thingy? Yes/No?

What about the adding a vapor line to the gas tank?

Paul

Wow! If that was the thing my 122s needed the worst I would be sitting on top of the world!
Surely you can find a worse problem than that to work on!!

I've thought about installing a charcoal canister into my
Mikuni installation, purely from the standpoint of getting
rid of some the under hood gasoline stink after the engine
is shut off. Scavenging the waste fumes and using them to enrich
the mixture a little when starting could mean less choke needed
as well. I'd probably look for a new canister, since there are
parts on the old ones that could go bad, like the hot start valve.
I have no idea what part to pick, wish I could find someone who did.

Carbon Canister saves Fuel 120-130

Malloy,

I would honestly try to find a brand new generic one on eBay.

Either that, or go to the local pick-n-pull and find one out of one of the more common cars, like a Ford Focus or something. Probably run you $20 and you know where you can find another if you need it.

I guess my only question / opinion is....why?
Me? I'd leave it off. North American 122s didn't have charcoal canisters.
