'91 740 hanger bearing 700 1991

Are there any rules about hanger bearing size for a '91 8 valve 740 wagon? FCP offers 44.5 and 50.8 mm. It's winter, I really don't want to go lie in the snow to find and measure the shaft diameter. Any help out there.

Check the FAQ about how to determine & replace, good article and pics. I have 2 1991 bricks, both turbos, 1-740, 1-940, 1-standard trans, the other a slush pump. Each has a different size hanger bearing. I think it's the Volvo case of, well we have this in stock so............

I believe the smaller size was the older cars, maybe up to 87 or so. I am about 98% sure you have the bigger size. Ask FCP, they may know for sure.
