nedd some sugestions 740 wagon 700

I have a 92 740 wagon runs rough.when driving for a while (50 miles) you start smelling gas in the car.took out a spark plug smells like gas color is good on the plug.did the obd the only code I got was 232 lambda control fuel to rich or lean.so what doyou guys suggest 02 sensor no good fuel reg needs changing,or a bad injector, did the screwdriver to ear test and all injectors are clicking away.thanks in advanced for the help.Chris

The fuel pressure regulator may be failing. Pull the vacuum hose off of it and see if any fuel leaks out. If it leaks fuel out of the vacuum port then the internal diaphragm is shot.

If it's a non-turbo with Regina fuel system, an O2 sensor failure would be unlikely.

I think you're saying you got a Bosch FPR when you ordered a Regina?

If so, the guy at FCP was trying to save you some $$ (maybe). Because the Bosch FPR works fine in the Regina system, and many here have used it in place of the Regina one. (Both systems have the same overall specs, including fuel pressure.)

are the regina fuel systems more of a hassle to repair? I am thinking about a 92' 740 wagon and if it's not Regina, should I still consider buying it? I have read the Regina Volvos are decent.

I've had good luck with a Regina 940 and 740; maybe a little less trouble than with my 240 with Bosch. Seems like I read that a 92 740 non-turbo would probably be a Regina car.

I'd pay more attention to other things like rust, suspension, motor mounts, repair records, etc. when deciding whether to buy the 92 740.
