Hi,


I am trying to decide whether to use a piece of iron pipe and my mechanical press, or a deep fryer from Walmart to mount my transmission bearings and synchro-hubs.

Does anyone have any input? I am concerned that the hot mounting method may allow the hubs and bearings to walk away from the shaft shoulder once cool.
