Use these or recommendations on a better set up? 120-130

Also from the parts bin - rear sway bar mounting plates. Would you use these as-is or is there a better way to mount them up?

Thanks guys!

Are they bent that way to conform to the floor? Or is that from "normal" use?

Hi George - the IPD instructions (thanks Red) indicate that the plates need to be beat to conform to the contours of the floor area under the seat. So that bit is probably correct...

Is that the end of a sway bar broken off in that end link?

I welded mine into the floor but I see no reason that wouldn't work. I'd use some big washers under the bolt heads to make sure they don't pull through the floor. Of course, that plate goes on the inside but I'd use bigger washers just the same.

Good eyes! That residual bit caught my eye as well when I dug these out. That probably didn't end well, not sure what happen there.

It would seem like welding would provide a more solid mount. I'd think a bit thicker metal would be good as well, no?

      Thanks!

That tells you alot about the quality of the junk ipd makes doesn't it?

Try & get a rear bar from someone else.

Oh, I don't know about that... I worked for ipd for almost a decade, and during that time I learned of one RWD swaybar that had failed in regular use.

The pic above increases that tally to two. Still a pretty small sample size to assess the relative quality of these products.

          Best,
