Brakes are an area where I don't have much experience. Recently I had a brake inspection and the shop said that one side showed greater pad wear than the other side. The caliper on the side showing greater pad wear [the rt. ft.] was sticking and needed to be replaced [they don't rebuild them in-house, they purchase rebuilt]. Wear across the face of the pads was even, that is not more on the top or bottom end, just greater wear on the rt. ft. and yes they were installed at the same time. The car stops perfectly straight, no issues. Fluid is clean, has been flushed every 2 yrs. The wheel and hub are not hot to the touch, both sides feeling about the same after driving. The suspension components are good, ball joints, end links, etc. So my question is, do pads wear evenly on left and right or is it common and normal to have the situation I have [and was the shop trying to steal from me?]
