Front end vibrates badly at 65 mph or faster right 200

After I did the front brakes with new rotors and pads. The car driove nice and no vibrations at all speed before the brake job.
What could be the problem?

Tom,

You stated that the brakes were great (implying no shudder) after doing the brake job, then you say that after the brake job, you have a shudder. This does not make sense.

If I assume that you meant to say no shudder before brake job and shudder after brake job, then you need to pull the rotors off and make certain the hub flange that the center of the rotor mounts to is clean of rust and foreign debris.

The tire orientation is irrelevant assuming that you have the alignment pins in place and did NOT rotate the tires. If you rotated the tires, you just might have one with a busted belt or missing weight on one of the front tires.

Hello,

Check the wheel balance.

Yeah, I am going to have the wheels balanced, but what I don't understand is why it happens after the new brakes.

Because the respective orientations of the wheels changed when you installed them differently.

If you reinstall one of the wheels 180 degrees out of phase with the other, it may reduce vibrations dramatically. It may also do nothing.

*****Just an update ***** 200

After I paid the alignment guy $15.00 to balance the front end, my car drives nice and lovely again. No more steering wheel vibrations, even at very high speed.

Tom
