Custom wheels for my sons 244? 200

I finally found a Volvo for my son that he reasonably likes the looks of (a '93 black sedan with Virgo wheels). He would like to see some other non-Volvo 15" or 16" alloy wheels though (he's seen Draco, MultiX and Hydra wheels. He likes the exposed lugs look). I would want him to stay with 15 or 16x7 or less. IPD has only one wheel with that criteria and Tire Rack has none. Any suggestions for us? Thanks, Mike

I would be interested in your virgos, if you sell them. PM me if you are interested.

Good luck with the son. I have my kids in a 850 and a 760.

I got a set of spacers (25mm front, 32mm back) for my car, that lets me use the much more varied and modern looking (which can be good or bad) set of FWD offset Volvo wheels. Also sharing the 5X108mm bolt pattern with FWD offsets are Jaguar S-types and some newer FoMoCo sedans (not really a coincidence, given the corporate relationships that existed for a while). You can also change bolt patterns with the adapters as well, if you wanted to switch to some more common bolt pattern (like 5X4.5").

About the only cars that had the 5X108 with RWD style offset cars were Volvos and (oddly enough) some Ferrari's. Maybe some very wide gold mesh old Ferrari wheels?

IPD sells a nice wheel, if the Virgo's aren't good enough.

I have a set of rims I'd like to sell. They're aftermarket--sold under the Shelby American name. They have exposed lugs (shoulder type--included) and a center cap. They're 14" and were mounted on an 1800E. They have many radial "spokes". E-mail me directly if you have an interest and I'll send a photo-- fastforwardphotoATyahooDOTcom -- Dave
