87-740 key in ignition warning chime? Where is it. 700

I looked at all my wiring diagrams, including the green book. Its not there.
I have since learned that its on the same circuit with the courtesy lamps, but it doesnt show anywhere.
The symptoms where continuous "key in ignition" warning chime(while seating in the car, with the door closed) and no power to the radio. Thanks to the mighty brick board I was directed to the number five fuse, which was blown. Eventually I made it to the funky wire(bare) that powers the engine compartment light, and is part of the courtesy light circuit. The wire was bare and grounding out, blowing number 5 fuse. Problem solved.
I would still like to know where the chime is, and how to disable if one desired.

LS

It's in the back row of the relay/fuse panel behind the ashtray in the center of the dash. I THINK it is second from left in the back row, next to the red cylindrical bulb failure relay. It's the big blue one, that has a little "speaker grille" hole in the side. If the chime offends thee, yank it out.

Pretty sure the relay is blue.
Regardless, if you pull the relay out and the chime stops...
That's the one that goes straight in the trash.

      Thanks guys. Mystery solved! 700

It gets a reprieve because it wasnt the cause of the problem, this time.
It does make me wonder if Im so absent minded that I need to have the blasted thing. And since key is required to lock the door.

      Thanks

      LS.
