Wire Re-Insulation 200

I've got some wire (battery cable) where the insulation has come off. What products do you all use to re-insulate wire. Thank You.

You can find some dab on electrical insulator in Walmart, auto section, yellow can.

I use ordinary vinyl tubing found in hardware stores to sheath wire or as an extra protective cover.

I had a set of good booster cables. After a few years, went to use them, plastic sheathing crumbled off. Didn't want to toss them, so re-covered them with vinyl tubing.

Did something happen that the insulation came off? If you didn't do it, the insulation may be failing all over the cable.

I'd replace it. Otherwise there are some liquid insulation products available, or a ton of electrical tape... but I would replace it. Cables are cheap.
