Replaced original fuel filter. Started fine, drove 20 miles. Next morning drove 1/2 mile began hesitating again and died. Hv not had time to search here but would like to find regina/rex fault diagnosis checklist.

Don't forget the ground terminal attached to the body near the driver's side headlamp. I think this was the fix of a similar problem I was having.

That's not much to go on but both the REX Ignition and Regina FI are pretty solid in my experience — 7+ years with R-R 940 and almost daily scanning here.

In that time, my only intermittent stall while running was due to a corroded ground connection for what's called the , Radio (noise) Suppression Relay or RSR. If the RSR doesn't stay energized, there's no voltage to the injectors and the engine stalls. For more on this problem, with pics and links to more details, see THIS POST.

You can eliminate the RSR as a possibility if the problem disappears when you unplug the connector and jumper-wire the 2 heavier wire sockets together. But it's tricky to find the RSR, because it's tucked up behind the wire bundle on the right front fender, about opposite the ABS module. The grounding point (my problem) is farther forward, near the headlight.

Thanks Lucid. Going to check out RSR. By the way don't know if related or not but have at times gotten heavy static on radio and sometimes it reduces or goes away if I lower and raise one of the power windows. Maybe showing a corroded ground.Will give you an update. Impulse sender will check too using on board LED diagnostic. Keep the ideas coming. Thanks.

Check the 700/900 FAQ in the drop-down menu at the top of the screen. Look for OBD codes for Regina/Rex. They're in there.
