It's time to give something back to the Brickboard - Part 2 200 1982

Hello all,

I forgot to put in the link to the photograph of the CIS Air flow assembly venturi-plate adjustment tool.

I took the liberty of tweaking your Photobucket URL as follows:

    1) Adding img src= to the http end.

    img src=http://s1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa381/Swede-Steed/?action=view¤t=AluminumsodacanusedtocenterK-JetCISVenturiplate.jpg

    2) Then copying the modified URL below and enclosing each end of the URL with < and >, which should put the picture below when submitted.

I am grateful that you guys are so helpful. As it is painfully obvious, I am unfamiliar with how to do much around hear except learn from helpful experts like you. Thank you very much for the tips on how to post images here. I have some other useful things to post over the next few days that might be helpful to someone else. Thanks again!

I haven't seen silicone with teflon either.

Must be double slick with stick!

Where did you go to get that? What was the name it is sold under?

        Phil

This is for you, Machine Man 200 1982

          Hey,

I tried to embed an image file of the Du Pont Teflon Silicone lubricant, but I failed...several times...lol! Anyway, until I get it figured out, here is the URL to my photobucket

          http://s1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa381/Swede-Steed/?action=view¤t=DupontSiliconeTeflonlubricant.jpg

sorry for the inconvenience, but I'll get it all sorted out before too long.

          Troy

Hey, the lubricant is called Du Pont Teflon Silicone Lubricant. I purchased it at Walmart, but it's also available at Advance Auto Parts stores. It's relatively new on the market, as let me tell you, that stuff is slick...and it lasts a long time.

Sorry everyone for the multiple posts, I'm still trying to figure out how to add an image file to my post. Lucid was kind enough to try and explain it to me, but I still haven't figured it out. perhaps I need to be a bit more...ummm...Lucid!

            I'll get it eventually..lol

I'll try this image file thing one more time before I take my hat in hand, and find lucid again to hand hold me through the process.

I need Lucid or someone else to show me how to embed an image file into a post 200 1982

Help! I am the FNG (friken new guy) and I failed to grasp how to embed an image file into my posts. Lucid informed me that my URL needs to look like this:

Is this correct? If so, where do I paste it so that the picture shows up?

                  Thanks!

It looks to me like you have it right (copy below with < and > changed to [ and ] so it wont be "active".

Now I'll try it again below with the < and > on the ends (and remove the "line break?" at the end)

                    Let's see what happens...

                    Hmmmm. No Good????

Lucid tries again. Lucks out at the end. 200 1982

OK, I used your URL to go to photobucket and view the DuPont can. Then at the left, at the "Share this image box" I clicked on IMG Code and got the yellow "copied" response. (Copy below) Note how it differs from that address you were trying (see bolded part). I don't know how you got that, but it doesn't work for me either.

Looks like you chose the Email & IM version below:
Notice that the part in bold is not in the "IMG" version above?

Here goes the "IMG" version (with img src= < and > on the ends...

It may take me awhile to absorb this information, but in the mean time, I think I will just bask in the insane brightness of your computer savvy...savvy? lol

Thanks again for your help! I'll let you know when I can take the training wheels off!

Tried quoting the url to escape the ampersands in it...

                      Did not work

Went back to the photobucket site and selected the "direct link"

                      It looks like this:

                      <img src=http://i1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa381/Swede-Steed/DupontSiliconeTeflonlubricant.jpg>

Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

everything looks good - double check the name of your jpg 200 1982

I even tried pulling up the JPG by going directly to

                      http://s1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa381/Swede-Steed/?action=view¤t=DupontSiliconeTeflonlubricant.jpg

and I get an error - That is why it's not bringing it up

So double check the name of the JPG as the rest looks good.

                      Hope that helps
                      Charles
