If you are looking for a late model tach for a 240 with the very matt surface their maybe one for sale on ebay. Without seeing a picture of the back of the tach I can't say for sure that it has the matt surface but the circuit-board is white. The circuit board on the early model is brown.

Just thought I'd pass it along, their not easy to find.

Yes, the one for the late models 92/93 are hard to come by. Their are plenty of ebay seller that say their tach will work with 86 through 93 and their right, but the finish won't match. The tip off is the color of the circuit board, if you can see the circuit board, and the back of the tach. The late model one are not flat across the back. The connections are the same but the construction of the back is different.

Yea, I'm aware of the difference and rarity, I used to make a nice side living selling rare parts on ebay 5-6 years ago. Packed everything up when I left San Diego and forgot about looking at ebay. Looks like it might be time to dig that stuff out and give it another shot. If I remember right I've got a couple R-Sport clusters, numerous gauges and a bunch of armrests etc.

I'd pack up a late tach kit but I don't think I have any of the right clocks, the later ones used a brighter (and larger) bulb if I remember right.

Don't sweat the small clock. Most people who want the tach want oil pressure, voltmeter, etc. gauges over there, not that stupid little clock.
