Steering wheel options??? 120-130

The steering wheel in my '65 220 is beat to hell. Even the cracks have cracks!

I'd like to replace it, but not sure what my options are. Keeping costs down is a plus. Also, I am running 15x7 ford rims. So having a big wheel really helps with the parking lot maneuvers.

I'd like to do a period style wood wheel, with the rivets. Grant makes them, but no adapters for the 122 for those model wheels. They only have adapters for their 5 bolt pattern wheels, and that diameter is really small.

Thanks in advance.

My steering wheel had some cracks, and I found the small diameter of the grip uncomfortable on long drives. I got some closed cell foam pipe insulation (had to go to a specialty foam place, as the standard home depot type stuff was too thick), maybe a 1/4" thick and wrapped the wheel in that. Then I got a custom leather cover- ordered from somewhere online, and wrapped it in that. Looks great and feels great. All total might have cost me $40 (mostly went to the custom leather cover).

Grant makes a hub to fit Nardi/Personal wheels which are made in every size but more expensive than Grant.I am using their hub with a 14" wheel which works well except for parking when a little more muscle is needed

I installed a LeCarra wheel using a Grant mounting kit. I never regretted going to a smaller wheel. The car feels so much better. Consider it. You might be pleased.

Why not just repair it or repair one that's not quite so bad. Repainting to match your car colour can look good too. I've seen white and red. There are pros around that refurb older American wheels but that option won't be cheap. I don't think you'll find any aftermarket wheels that are as big as the original.
I suspect that someone will offer you a decent usable wheel. The shiney coat does wear off at the back but again, you can repaint to choice.

I'd consider epoxy repair with a better wheel than mine. Mine's really bad.

The other problem is that I can't be down that long. Right now, the 220 is my DD.

The custom-sized Wheelskins leather cover sold by IPD is great on the stock wheel. It looks nice, adds a little diameter, and greatly improves grip.
