Wont Start after warm 200

I have 1987 240 that will not start after it's warm. The car is fine until I turn it off and try to start again. It has spark and the fuel pump is running. I did jump the fuel pump relay and it sounds OK but not sure if it's pumping enough. Can the air mass meter cause this problem? The resistance of the wire in the air mass meter is 3 ohms. Any ideas?
Thanks

Classic Flooding 200

Hello,

If the engine will NOT start after sitting, then there is likely a fuel leak into the intake manifold. Check the vacuum line of the fuel pressure regulator and the injectors for leakage.

Wont Start after warm...Bad Check Valve? 200

A possible cause or your "warm hard start" could be a failing check valve in the fuel pump outlet. The check valve is there to aid hot starts—not to hold pressure overnight. By maintaining some pressure for a short time (the "residual pressure" spec is measured in minutes), it's meant to prevent a vapor lock in the injector fuel rail, due to heat soak from the hot engine.

A Fuel Pressure gauge is needed to test the check valve.

The time spec is measured in minutes, per Bentley page 241-10 where it says:
Residual Fuel Pressure • minimum after 20 minutes. . . .1.0-bar (14.5psi).
