B230F coolant seepage

Lately after I've been driving, when I get out of my car and walk by the front of the car I smell a faint odor of coolant. But when I checked the engine compartment there was no sign of leakage and the overflow reservoir cap was holding pressure fine when I checked it. I suppose this is seepage from the head gasket or something like that. How typical is this and what should I expect to have to do about it and how soon?

Check the heater hoses and heater water valve. Ideally, you should do a pressure test to pinpoint the leak before it becomes catastrophic.

Look carefully at the topside of your waterpump to see if there is a dampness from the Mushroom 'O' ring that seals the Waterpump to the Head. This is a likely place for the 'can't be seen' leak.

To answer your other Post...I change my coolant every other year. Plain old Green stuff
