195-75-14's on a Sedan 200

Hi All,

Other than the speed being a bit higher than the speedo indicates, can you think of any concerns with me running these size snows on my sedan.

Thanks,

Marty

Depending on whether it is old or new 240 the speedo could be right on. IIRC after '85 the stock sedan tire was 185/70-14. Before that 185R-14 was stock for both sedan & wagon, and the closest tire to the 185R-14 is the 195/75-14, and a great snow tire size.

I'm currently looking for tires for my '78 242DL, and with the M45 4-speed and 4.10:1 rear diff, it's begging for a larger tire size like the 195/75-14's to increace gearing and replace what came with it 185/70-14, which are way too small. I think I'll get the Kuhmo Solus 195/75-14

      Thanks,

Only know the larger size in winter tires. Have had some Blizzaks, Winterforce tires. Good for November til March.

As for Kumhos, never had one, but good luck with yours. Thanks for the response.

      Marty
