broken exhaust stud delemma solved.

After breaking off the easy out, my trusty mechanics went the cobalt drill route, and, after lots of patience and time, were able to remove the bolt and complete the repair.
And they didnt try and pass on all the extra cost to me.
So Im a happy camper at this point.

Thanks to everyone who offered their wit and wisdom.

Sweeeeet! That's the best solution! I'm glad it worked out, and glad they figured it out. I'm impressed - how far back was it?

This just happened. I picked the car up on monday. Is that what you asked?

The guys stepped up and proved themselves. I had my doubts for a minute.

Ah, no I meant - How far back on the engine block was the broken stud? Was it the closest bolt to the firewall, or near the water pump?
