FCP Groton/ FCP IMPORTS

The address is the same but does anyone know if the Sales guys and the infastructure is the same for both?
The FCP IMPORTS seems to be handled very differently. First off I always got next day delivery from Groton...with Imports it was a 3 day delivery. I live one state away...
Then I was sent the wrong Spark plug number... Salesman took it upon himself to send me a different heat range plug just because that's what he had AND that plug was almost $1 more expensive which he passed on to me... That doesn't fly with me. If I ask for a 4230 that doesn't mean I want to give you another $4 for a 4030. They are making good on it but I don't like the dance. I anticipated getting the material last Friday and doing the Job on Monday.. I got the Wrong parts on Tuesday.not sure when I will have the correct parts in my hand.

    FCP Groton/ FCP IMPORTS

I never heard of them, but your right the address is the same. I have not had much luck with fcpgroton lately either. Seems as though a lot of it is aftermarket junk. Check out the fine print on their "lifetime warranty".
They used to be the place to get volvo parts, but now I am looking for someplace
else. Does anyone know of a good source for volvo parts, maybe a dealer that has a online source. The last parts I bought I got though the local NAPA. Fit
better then the stuff I ordered.

      Bill,

      I looked at your location...

You might want to try calling Phillip at Professional Swedish Auto Repair in Marietta (Lower Roswell Rd.) If you call him before about 10:00 AM, he generally has your stuff ready by about 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. He can get you either Volvo blue box or aftermarket and he has a fairly good feel for when you should go with which, as they are also a repair shop.

I'm not sure about any shipping arrangements, if you don't want to drive in to Marietta. You could talk to him about that.

      Good luck.

      Try Eeuroparts.com

I agree that Tasca Volvo is the best place for genuine Volvo. I have VADIS so I always make sure to order by the inputting the volvo part number. You can usually get the volvo part number from the FCPGroton description. You can also see the prices before you place an order online which I like.

I have ordered many times from FCPgroton in the past but lately it seems they don't list as much quality aftermarket. Too much ScanTech and MTC, which I will never order. They can usually get the good stuff but you have to e-mail and get a quote which can be a hassle.

Eeuroparts.com tends to list more quality aftermarket and usually about the same or cheaper than FCPGroton. They also have free shipping on anything over $50 so you can just add some filters to get over the $50 free shipping amount if needed. I have been very pleased with the many orders they have filled.

MAny people are using TASCA http://tascavolvoparts.com/

It's a Dealer in Rhode Island (I think).
The problem is. No pictures of Parts to help you. You almost need to know the part numbers before shopping.
They sell at 'Shop' prices and if you order enough stuff, the Shipping becomes reasonable. They have a $10 minimum shipping.

Ther eused to be some real Volvo nuts at Groton and they shared the enthusiasm when buying and talking Volvos. That seems to have diminished. Maybe they are getting too big.
