How many Gallons for a coolant refill?

2 gallons?.. 3 gallons? and is it seriously as easy as taking off the lower radiator hose, draining, replacing the hose, and refilling the coolant?..

Why i ask, is that i've just confirmed the "used car place" put DEX-Cool in... : ( So, I want to drain, maybe flush and replace that with some G-05.

below exhaust manifold between #3 and #4 runner you will see a brass nipple.13mm deep socket.
That's the Drain. Cleaner then unhooking the lower hose.
No chance of cracking the plastic radiator nipple.
mix up 2 gallons as mentioned.
Start engine, wait 'til it reaches temp. If it starts to get above Normal grab the upper hose and squeeze it hard and fast about 10 times. Like doing CPR on the car. you will feel the upper hose get hot and the Temp gauge will go down.
Sometimes you need to burp these cars when replacing the Coolant.

      Hello,

If the radiator nipple breaks off during service, then it is a godsend. I'd rather break a weak part during service when I can do something about it, then on the interstate with no shoulder.

The drain is neat too!, I just like the puking sound it makes when it comes out of the radiator.

    Hi,

I like that PEAK brand. You don't have to spend a fortune! Just buy two gallons of concentrate at the auto supply or Walmart and some DISTILLED water. Seriously, the green stuff is fine.

I like my concentration at about 70% coolant to water. I have a good radiator and I want to keep it that way. :)
