Kjet Plunger Stuck-What's the trick? 200

I'm pretty sure the plunger is stuck. Car been sitting for a year, but the gas was drained out of it before parking it.

I use to do a trick with rerouting the high pressure line. Usually worked (Only once it didn't when the car sat for 5 years or so with gas in the tank), but that was ten years ago.

Can anybody tell me the routing?

We use to do it without taking the fuel distributor out. It worked so well, and saved a bunch of time, I always thought it was a know trick.

I play around with it this weekend, and if I can't figure it out by Monday, I'll give my friend a call and ask him how to set it up.

I don't know about that high pressure trick, but I've removed a couple manually by taking the fuel lines off the FD, then taking the FD off the airflow meter (see Bentley 240-14 Fig. 24).

Hold the FD in both hands with a couple of fingers from each hand centering large socket on the underside. Then smack FD & socket down on a hard surface. It might take 2 or 3 smacks, but the plunger should come out. I then clean it with something like lacquer thinner, and rinse with gas or kerosene and replace it in the FD, making sure it moves freely.
