Front end noises 200 1993

My car makes clunking / popping / rattling noises at low speeds, coming from under the front end. Noise is most pronounced when starting to move, when stopping, and when turning. It is not audible at higher speeds.
I looked underneath. Nothing appears lose, or disconnected. Ball joints, appear to be fine, and so are the tie rods, and sway bar.
Are there places to be lubricated???

Also, examine the engine mounts (including the transmission mount).

    For the fun of Volvos.

You really need to unload the suspension by putting the front end up on stands to inspect bushings/balljoints/etc. Look at each component and jiggle things.

    Nothing to be lubed.

I would suspect lower control arm bushings. How old are they and do they show evidence of cracking, etc? Also, there are four large bolts that fasten the front body to the sub frame. Check and re-torque them. How old are the front struts? And the upper strut mounts? All of these things could be causing the noises. I've just gone through it all with my '81 245. The noises were all from the control arm bushings.
