MY BEAUTIFUL 960 IS GOING TO PASTURE 900 1992

The frontal damage is estimated at more than twice the value of the car and more than I can afford to put into it.

I need to decide whether to sell it as-is or part it out. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Greg

    That's unfortunate. :(

There is a 960 in Morro Bay, Near San Luis Obispo that someone is selling for $600. It's got a blown head gasket and has been on there quite a while. I bet you could talk him down quite a bit.

And if you really wanted to, you could swap back in the wrecked parts and retire it for a grand when it won't pass smog with the blown HG.

Sad to see it happen, but it might be really satisfying to fix it yourself.

    Good Luck

It's hard to tell how much damage there is from your pics but it looks like hood, fender, left lights, maybe grille and radiator etc. Air bag? Those are do-able also.
I have a retired friend who does this and has a trailer full of parts. semi-trailer that is. I think he'd fix your car for less than 1k, but of course it depends on how much I can't see. It'd be good if the car was near SF of course.

      Jerry,

I live in Orange County CA, near Mission Viejo. You are right, it is repairable...hood, windshield, left fender, all the lights, grill, supporting structures, paint, plus labor. The radiator did not leak, the engine will start, but will not keep running. I can do all these things, but do not have a garage to do it.

Thanks for your input...want to buy it? or know someone who does?

      Greg
