So I just moved to the Osos area. I dont know anyone around here yet, but I am wanting to take my 69 144 to a trusted mechanic to give the old guy a proper tune up, carb balance, etc. I want someone who is known for good work, at a decent price, and is familiar and experienced with these types of vehicles. I have a car show coming up next month and want to make sure all is well first!

Can anyone recommend anyone? Whoever sounds the best will get my business!

    Hey There! I noticed not many people were able to give you some help...

    Welcome to the Central Coast! (I live in Paso Myself!)

    As for Mechanics...I have 2 guys I trust with my Volvos.

    'Tim' Works at Smith Volvo in SLO, and has his own Home Repair Shop. He's a great Honest Volvo Enthusiast.

    'Randy Obert' Owns Oberts Automotive in Atascadero. He's worked on our Familys cars since I was a Baby! Also A great guy!

    Let me know if you need any parts...I have a shed full...also, I have a 142 Parts car that is going to the dump in a week...so if you know anyone who needs stuff off of it...

        Im not a 'he', but thanks for the correction. And to reply to walrus, I would do it myself, but I am not nearly experienced enough. How about anyone who would just help me get the car ship shape? I would take that, the clock is ticking . . .

        Shame! All the action is on the Gulf Coast this season!
        Prices are down also, at least for the time being.
