Weber hoses/vacuum leak 120-130

Hi all. I've got a weber on a b20 I recently started driving, its in a 444, but figured a b20 is more at home in the 120 section. I'm just in need of some clarification on hose routing for the thing. Right now their is a hose coming from the manifold below the air cleaner to the crankcase breather. There looks to be a one way valve in there... but when i take it off and tumb over the end of it its pulling in a lot of air. Runs much better blocked up. Can I simply plug that outlet at the manifold? (*this is all me sorting out and figuring out what the PO has done) Whats it doing specifically, by being connected to to the crankcase breather? I can't see what it would do.
Thanks all!

Block it off at the intake, and put a draft hose on the breather and run back under the car. Unless the motor has lots of blowby, this will work great. And the motor will thank you for not having to burn those octane reducing crankcase vapors. You rode in one with a draft tube!
