Coolant coming from under intake manifold - but where exactly? 200 1992

The entire area under the intake manifold is wet with coolant but I cannot see the leak even though it can lose a quart in 30 minutes (the rate seems to be variable). I realize that the heater hoses are possible culprits, but are there any other likely leakers? I am hoping that it is not the head gasket - the oil has not turned to chocolate yet.

Thanks

Sounds like from your description that it is spraying about. A heater hose can get rubbed by the dip stick tube. I bent mine away from them.

Since your belts are not squealing I ruled out the radiator and hose.

A head gasket would leak straight down most of the time but the fan can blow it backwards.

Is the firewall wet too?

Phil

Thanks for the input.
It turns out it was the top heater hose that had a split. So, now I am wrestling with the replacements - without removing the intake manifold (only the throttle body).
