I forget... is it '83/'84 that are the same? Or '84/'85?

If the latter, my experience might help. Just replace/bypass the offending wires.... it's sure what I'd do if I did it again.

Sorry, but the the harness I have IS from an '88 not an '89. The '89 is the car that I'm looking at. I just had '89 on the brain.

I have a harness that is the non-biodegradable version from a low mileage '89 that I was keeping "just in case". My ride was totaled last week and I'm looking at a newer 240 and won't need the harness now. Email me and see if you might be interested in working something out. xraybob240@comcast.net

1989 has a different ignition and injection system than the 1985 car, so the harnesses are not interchangeable. An original 1988 harness would probably work.
