Air Conditioning on a 1987 240 Sedan 200 1987

My 1987 has R-12 freon in it. I know I have a small leak somewhere. Should I add Freeze-12 or convert to R-134a? Any directions on how to do it properly.

The cheaper way out will probably be to fix the leak and then charge with Freeze 12. To do a 134 conversion properly, you should get the kit from Volvo, which may not be available anymore. It includes a larger evaporator, new seals and valves. You still have to find the leak, flush the system and do the changes, which can get costly.
