Simple question.. what is the total weight of a 240 sedan? I've looked this up, and have seen different answers. Anyways, I'm curious. Thx!

    As others have noted the owners manuals list only a range--electric window lifts are way heavier than manual, transmissions vary, etc. To get the actual weight you'll need to go to a business that has scales--recycling centers, oil/coal dealers. I had the good fortune to get my '69 144S on the scale at Watkins Glen when it was still installed in the garage. It showed 2675 with my clothing, cameras and tools still aboard---close enough to the 2600 on my reg to believe it. -- Dave

      According to the "Volvo Pocket Data Book" 1225 kg (2700 lbs) to 1470 kg (3240 lbs) with a full tank of gas.

    Easiest way to answer that question is to take a bag of garbage to your local land fill .... and when you come out after dumping ... just ask the guy running the scale ... I'm sure he will tell you ... at least Our WM guy will ....

    There should be a sticker on the pillar by the driver's or passenger door with the weight printed on it. It also has recommended tire size and pressure and max. capacity. If you have the owner's manual, it is in the back where the capacities are listed.

    Depends on the year (earlier is lighter), and the options. A/C, auto or M46 or M47, power windows or manual.

    Probably as little as 2800 lbs to as much as 3100.
