I've seen a set of early model 240 leather seats in the front of a 220, looked nice. From a 75 I think . The only thing was they were longer front to back and you couldn't fold down the rear seat back all the way. Think Craig aka 122canadian on here has put a set of BMW seats in either his 122 or 242, they looked real nice.

I guess you mean the rear seat. I have stayed with the original so can't comment on that.

Front seats are easy. 164 seats fit if you do something to adapt the different width of the seat base. Easy way is to fit rails that run side to side and bolt to both the seat and the existing rails. I customised some spare 122 seat mounts to make it look a bit more standard because in New Zealand the inspectors are fussy about seat modifications. Seat mods need to be certified by an engineer to make sure they are safe. By making it look standard I avoided the need to certify. 164 seats are a bit bulkier. I am 6'2" tall so usually have the drivers seat right back. If I want to fold the back seat, I need to slide the drivers seat forward a few inches.
