I have a small tear in my cruise control actuator, was going to try a a small section of bicycle tube patch kit on it. Any other thoughts?? They seem to go for about $70-80 new, Not sure its worth that much to me.

Use black RTV.

When the rubber bellows crack it is because they dried out. Sure, you can patch the hole but the bellows will just split again in another spot. Consider a bone yard replacement or buy a new one. In short, if you patch it, don't expect much life (time wise) out of it.

there should be an L-shaped metal tab separating the bellow and the heater hose.

junk yard? 940s have a similar bellow in the engine bay.

I am not sure it would be possible to modify the bellows from the cable type to those with the ball and socket used in 90-93 240s.

park tools bicycle patch w/ vulcanizing fluid. I'll test it out tomorrow.
