What is your sunroof barely doing? Does it open and close all the way?

To expand on Jessie's questions---The items that control the operation of the sunroof----the transmission-are the mounting screws tight? does it skip spots? --the transmission has start and stop spots so if it has skipped it will be out of sequence-not closing or opening all the way - drop the transmission to see the gears (and to run the transmission to one extreme or the other--to match wherever the roof panel is sitting.-----the cables (can be viewed by dropping the transmission-slide the sunroof panel by hand to see more than the little bit to be seen after transmission removal)-are there worn out or stretched areas of cable? ----the lift links-does your panel rise to the height of the rest of the roof when cranked closed? -- these are accessible after pulling the panel headliner off--they attach the rear of the panel to the sliders (my term) and are adjustible for height by loosening the screws and resetting the teeth on the two halves of each link. Are the channels the roof slides in clear of debrit/dirt? -- Dave
