bay area welder 120-130

do any of y'all know of anyone in the bay area who's good at welding in new metal? i've got some rust spots on a 122 that need work. suggestions?

    You don't want a welder, you want a body technician. Welders can't do body work, however, body men can weld. You also want someone familiar welding with rust, and should see some of their work.

    I have worked with people who were just horrible welders, I would be amazed the car could make it back from the paint shop in one piece. My craft is dying!

    A guy here who posts as Benwah (Daniel Benoit) might know of someone. He's in Alameda.

    Also there's a fellow with a shop in the Mission I bought a good motor from a couple of years ago. His shop is:

      For better or worse, I try to do that stuff on my own. I'm pretty rotten at it too.
      I'll ask around and see if anyone I know has had good success somewhere... often times there are welders offering their services via craigslist. I'll check back later if I find some promising leads.
