Loss of power, sparks from exhaust/ under car, no start... 200 1989

Driving home from work the other night, 60-65 mph I experienced a loss of power. Feathering the fuel pedal did nothing. Saw sparks in the rear view mirror. Car shut off on its own, cranks normally, will not start. Luckily, I'm on vacation, unluckily I'm in the proccess of moving. Where do I start looking? I'm so frazzled I can't even think straight!

Start with the easy stuff. Timing belt, fuel pump relay, fuel injection fuse.

Anything that is big enough to produce sparks visible in the rear view mirror will be pretty obvious.

Greg, I appreciate the help. I didn't even get under the hood @ 1am. I waited til sunup, walked to the car. *sigh* All it was, was the coil wire came loose from the cap. This proves yet again that theres two ways to do things: fast or half-fast. Irked @ me...

Make sure the motor and trans mounts are not broken, this could cause the coil wire to pull out.
