rear coil springs 200

as we speak my car is in the garage and the springs i ordered for the rear appear to be the right ones which are MOOG CC215 (heavy duty ) for my 89 volvo 244 240 sedan. the mechanic said the ends will not fit like the oems . is it because the coil is thicker? what size washer / bolt would i need. i was not there , i was told this. Any advise?

The springs could have been intended for a heavy duty wagon instalation. There's a difference bewteen heavy duty wagon and heavy duty sedan springs. Make sure the spring seat matches up...On my sedan I simpply installed normal (stock) wagon springs and voila heavy duty sedan springs good enough for towing anything and raising the rear like an inch and a half or so.
