Hi,

I bought a Kenwood KDC-HD545U from Crutchfield; it came with a complete adapter kit that looks very nice. It has many more features than the old radio had and lights up brightly at night. It was only $129, which included shipping and the adapter kit, and no codes to enter every time you disconnect the battery. My only complaint is I don’t receive any AM stations, but I rarely listen to AM.

Gus

I second the crutchfield recommendation. Install I have looks good; I did it myself and the instructions and adapterlook and work fine.

I also lack AM; I didn't notice until I tried to listen to AM for something, and realized that when I installed my Pioneer DEH- something something stereo, I didn't hook up an AM antenna anywhere to the back but I think I did hook up an FM antenna (must've; NPR comes in just fine).

Also, Pioneer brands have this (as far as I know) proprietary cable you can hook up to the back of your stereo that serves as an AUX input. I got an ipod cable that I ran up under the middle console area and it pops out through the e-brake brushes. It's not the prettiest thing, but it works and is fairly unobtrusive, and it charges the ipod while in use. I'd recommend it if you use an ipod.
