B20 starter amp question? 120-130

What are the specs on the b20 starter? How much amp draw does it pull when starting the car.? I'm moving the battery to the trunk and need to know what kind of drop in voltage/amps I'm expecting when starting the car. Thanks

It depends on the condition of the starter, the stiffness of the engine and the
temperature of both the starter and the engine, also the viscosity of the oil
(which gets stiffer as it gets colder).
100 amps is a good ballpark figure.
My 2 2001 models have the battery at the rear of the car and seem to start OK
    without unduly large battery cables.

    since no one bit yet.

Most starters draw between 200 and 400 amps. A 4 gauge wire should be fine. Our 500" 13:1 compression race car never even blinked with a 2 gauge wire. We used quality wire from our welding store with good rubber coating. I also ran a 4 gauge ground all the way to the motor, and grounded to the chassis in the front and rear. Like I said, never a bit of trouble in many years of operation.

welding leads are a good choice because they have many more strands per gauge wire than standard electrical wire. current travels on the outside skin of the copper strand so more strands more current paths less resistance and voltage drop.the wire gauge and insulation type are printed on the insulation.such as xhw , thhn or thw
