New brakes, front stabilizer bushings, new tires>blub blub blub and squeaky sound 200 1993

I have a Volvo 240 Classic 1993 Station wagon which has just about been made over, I rescued it from a used car dealer.
Beautiful car, low mileage (odometer not stopped) unbelievable finish and nice interior, drives great. Drives like a dream. (am I gushing?)

Except this new noise...blub blub blub and squeaky over bumps.

took it to my mechanic. Brakes replaced. New tires. New front stabilizer bushings.
Drive off.

Blub. blub. blub.

Any ideas what is going on?
Thank you.

Did you just tell the mechanic blub blub? 200 1993

Did you ask the mechanic to diagnose the noise? Did he drive the car with you so you could be sure he heard it and then explain to you what he would do? So many times I think people take the car in and ask for specific work without explaining the real problem. Which did you do? If it was the former take it back and ask for an explanation.

It is hard to diagnose a noise by listening to our human phonetically limited descriptions. Some birds can precisely mimic any sound they hear. Very few humans have that ability so it's best for the the person responsible for the repair to hear the noise themselves, maybe even perform certain tests and observations while driving it, otherwise they may "fix" the wrong things and charge you a lot of money.

There are many things that can cause funny noises over bumps. From your description I would not want to guess. Have a knowledgeable mechanic or other competant person test drive the car.

Did you just tell the mechanic blub blub?>>going for ride he has heard it going again 2 day 200 1993

We are taking car for a ride this morning again. It is a knocking sound that is muffled sounds like something might be loose but he has not seen anything. Since we did brakes and bushings and new tires, do spring box, shocks or struts make sound+squeak? It sounds as if it is coming from front or middle of car. Seems to Happen at low speeds...he is usually good diagnostician this one needs Sherlock Holmes.'
      Your thoughts.
      Thank you so much.

    Blub? 200 1993

"Blub" implies liquid, is your radiator/cooling system belching? Heater core?

I can't think how a suspension system would make a "blub" Might be some bad struts or something with some "fluid" Maybe some weird sloshing from your fuel system?

Sounds like you need some "real person" advice to make sense of it.

Try to pinpoint the location on the car that it's coming from:

Is the squeak from the front or the back of the car?

Roll the windows down. Is the squeak coming from inside or outside?

With the car parked, bounce the car up and down at each corner, one at a time, then try rocking the car side to side.

A "blub" and a "squeak" to me are two different sounds... can you describe them any better?
