I recently purchased Chilton Manual. Haynes manual came with the auto.
Neither of the aforementioned is fully comprehensive. Where does one discover the Volvo green books?

    You can find the green books at volvotechinfo.com -- but they often come up for less money on ebay.

    But my suggestion would be to get the Bentley 240 Service Manual first. That's all I ever needed for 240 work.

    Google for best prices and look for used copies.
