With an '87 you're in luck - as you don't ahve to track down the mildly rare and very heavy dog-dish flywheel with the 58 holes for the LH 2.4 crank position sensor. You can get donor parts from earlier cars, when manuals were more common.
You mostly need a nice complete set of parts from a donor car.
Clutch pedal, brake pedal, and bracket. And cable.
Bellhousing, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch dist, pilot shaft bearing and clip.
Transmission, shifter (700-series transmissions have a shifter that extends further back - you need a 240 trans).
The front section of the driveshaft (again, not compatible with 700 series parts).
Again, you're in a bit of luck with an '87 as you don't have to worry about a speedometer cable, although you may need to find a way to seal off a speedometer drive if you use an older M46, but I'd suggest finding a later M47 (true 5 speed - no OD, weighs a lot less) that doesn't have one anyway.
When I did the swap, it was a couple of hours to put in the pedals, and a leisurely shade-tree mechanic 6 hour day putting the trans in underneath.
