heater airflow 700 1990

have 90 740 wagon with little to no airflow on any heater setting. I have checked blower, thermostat, water valve and all dampers. They all seem to be working. Anyone have any ideas.

The ac evaporator may be plugged. You may be able to take the fan resistor pack out and look inside the HVAC unit to inspect it.

So you can hear the fan but no air flow? Does the lever move to all position (floor, defrost etc)? Is there any "hissing" noise coming from behind the control levers (like a vacuum leak)?

the blower runs on all speeds, the dampers open and close when the selector is moved and i dont hear any leaks. some air comes out of all vents but the floor is the weakest. Airflow seems to get better when switched to AC.

Okay, then not what I was thinking and I've not been in the airbox. Do not want to go in there either! Perhaps fiixts route would be a possibility.

blew the evaporator out with compressed air lot of dirt and dust came out. Also cut a hole in the airbox after the evaporator so that I could see heater core. It looked fine blew it out anyway. Still no airflow.

It doesn't seem likely, but maybe the intake is blocked.
