Looking for a suggestion on value tires.. 444-544

Looking for a suggestion on value tires..or inexpensive tires for my PV544.
A very occasional driver..and I have never bought tires..
Whats on now are 165 in the front and 185's in the rear..

all radials and different manufacturers are represented..

What makes sense as far as size and manufacturer..
Not a show car..just a fun car..

best to all in twenty-10
or is it two thousand -10

I put a set of 155/80R15 Goodrich Radial T/A's on my PV444 last spring. Got them from Sears. You can view them at the Sears website. They fit fine on the stock wheels and look good.

I took the car on a 900 mile trip after installing the new tires and was very pleased with the ride and handling.

I have the Kuhmo 758 165-15 on my Duett. They did just fine from Georgia up to Massachusetts and back. I got them from TireRack and had the local Goodyear dealer mount them. He couldn't get a 165-15 locally except very cheap Chinese that I did not want to be a Guinea pig for.

They don't show a listing for 165's but I've been impressed with the price and the wet road handling of these on my 200. For Snow, if you get any in Ca. .. forget them.

If you are running the stock 4" wide rims, you are better off sticking with the 165 series tire.

There are many options on the internet - I recently purchased new Falken tires for $55.00 each - delivered to my door and with no sales tax.

Otherwise - Wal*Mart is very competitive - as is Costco or Sams Club if you are a member of one of those.

Thanks for the replys--On the Kuhmo I didn't see any 165 15 in their line up
also what sidewall profile are you using so the car looks vintage and sits properly.

      Thanks

You can get the Kumho 165R15s from Tirerack, however, they usually have to back order them. I got some last year, but they took about six months to get here.

I don't know if your car had radials originally, but if it did they were probably 165 SR 15 which translates today into 165/82/15.

Kuhmo makes the Power Star 758 in a 165/80/15. Last time I checked at the Tire Rack, they were $45.
