Saved $200.00 with universal 3 wire o2 sensor 200

Was quoted $240.00 for OEM Bosch O2 sensor at parts source. For 91 240 Wagon

Did some reading and saw this:

Recommend one of the following:
→13913 Bosch 3 wire Universal (under 40$ at Autozone)**
→13942 Bosch 3 wire (92 V8 Mustang, 8.5" long wire, 39$ @ Autozone) <>I used this one.
→13953 Bosch 3 wire (92 V8 Mustang, 16.5" long wire, 40$ @ Autozone)**

<>Got it off ebay deliverd for under $30.00. Worked like a charm.

Used some tab connectors and plugged in 2 white to white (does not matter) and the black to black. Passed emissions this weekend. Got me a cat also for $110.00 with pipe to resonator. Installed at JPG for $40.00. Whole project done under $200 bucks. WooWho.

The white wires seem equivalent, but... 200

I have successfully spliced in a few of the universal or mustang sensors.

I thought each white wire equivalent. Interchangeable.
    I suppose they are.

BUT when I was using the 1992 240 wiring diagram for bedtime reading the other night, I saw that:
-- one white wire was shown HEATING the sensor
-- one white wire was shown being READ, resistance 0-1 ohm

Can someone please verify that the white leads are interchangeable?
That, for instance, they lead to similar internals,
and that if you power one it heats up,
and if you read resistance in the other it works slick?

Thanks! My ability with electricity is real stunted. ;-(

The 13913 Bosch 3 wire is for a specific Ford product and is not a universal sensor. Either way it works fine.

Very good! One of the reasons that we don't see too many bricks out running around is the cost of replacement parts. Any shopping that gets the job done without going to the poorhouse to do it is great!
