Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the 1157 bulbs fit very loosely in the holder? I did not notice this with the original Euro bulbs.

No, haven't noticed any variation in the base, but your subject line immediately brought back a sorry memory about trying to get a bulb out of a partially melted Taiwan-made aftermarket wagon tail light, made difficult because the bulb seemed to have grown. :)

I believe the base is supposed to be 15 mm in diameter.

Thanks Art.

Mine appear to be loose in the socket. In fact, I've run a spot of solder on them to make the barrel tighter in the socket. It makes for a much better ground.
