Swap old B23 for B230F 200 1983

My 300k mi B23 in my '83 is pretty worn out. I can't get any of the seals to stay anymore and it is just tired - tolerances are a bit loose too. I have a B230F in my garage from an '85 that I'd like to rebuild while I drive the '83 and then do the swap one weekend once the rebuild is complete. I need to know what I would need to do to swap THE BLOCK, NOT the whole computer system, as I've already put a bunch of time and $$ into rebuilding this harness.

What I know:
- The AC belt for the York AC from the B23 will need to be forced into the pulley with a bump start, as the B230 pulley does not split.

What I'm not sure about:
In order to run this block on the standard ECU and harness from the '83 B23, what would I do to ensure proper fuel flow for the B230, which has less compression than the B23? Do I use the injectors from the B230?

Anything else that anyone can think of? I've got the B230 block stripped and am trying to get it bored out and the crank ground this week, so it's decision time before I do that.

Thanks!
-Phil

    Swap old B23 for B230F 200 1983

This swap will be greatly simplified by using all the B23 electronics, sensors, and switches on the B230. Maybe the ignition control module from an 85 should be used? Someone here will know.

As for injectors, the flow capacity will be OK either way. The B23 was rated 107BHP, the B230 114...not enough difference to matter. Provided the injector coil resistance on the two sets is the same, I would use the newer set, and send them out for cleaning/balancing before installing.

      Swap old B23 for B230F 200 1983

Thanks for your thoughts - it is my goal to use all '83 model year sensors (reuse from my B23 or new from IPD) on the B230 when it is installed. Likely I will have both in the garage and swap sensors from old to new and then drop it in.
