Hello
so i have to put new paper gaskets on the m-47 as the fifth gear housing has a small leak.
bought the re-seal kit from volvo.
do the paper type gaskets go on dry? maybe a little grease?
hope to do this weekend.

    Not sure what the "book" says but I always use a schmere of Silicone type Gasket-Maker on all my gaskets. I feel it will help fill any tiny imperfections. That's what I did on my M47 Cover and Rear Gasket
