I finally got the DOA wiper linkage out of the '65 544 I'm working on. I found someone already tried to 'fix' the motor in that one and there are parts of the motor assembly missing.

I've been told the wiper motor for a 12v 544 is identical to the rear wiper motor on a 245. Any one else done this? Are all years 245 rear wiper motor the same if I am now on the hunt for one? Anyone have one laying about?

The rear motor from older(don't know how old) 245s is a near exact replacement for the 12V PV motor.
The electrics aren't exactly the same, but you can figure it out.

Hello,

The rear wiper motor is not a direct bolt in.

The 2 motors are very similar, but so are the wiper motors for some of the early 12v VW bugs.
