Isky vs SBC lifter 120-130

In the process of building my b20 which had an Isky vv71 cam and lifters with the longer push rods but ,the new sbc lifters I got from Isky, the pushrod cup is .110 higher inside the lifter than the originals, has anyone run into this. I think this was an old rebuild done in the early 70's because this cam had a 1971 date code according to Isky

Yes I would get both cam and lifters new. The only thing you have to worry about is the set screw on the rocker arm, as long as that has enough travel you will be ok. I put the v71 (combination) cam in and made the set screw go pretty much all the way down, compared to being mostly unscrewed or protruding out of the top part area. What I mean is more threads were showing at the top side stock, compared to having the isky cam in, then the threads were mostly out the bottom.

If it were mine, as long as the old lifters were good (and mated to the cam lobes)
I would have used them, rather than replacing them.
If the lifters were going bad, the cam may be on its way out also.
If your new lifters are the same height as OEM, you could use OEM pushrods but 0.110" doesn't
    seem like enough difference.

You're right. Should always use new lifters with a new cam.
I learned that one the hard way!
