1989 740 Turbo Fog Light Problem 700 1989

My Fog Lights have stopped working. The bulbs are good and the switch light comes on, fuse is good too. Is there an inline fuse somewhere? Thanks Jim

Doesn't the fog lights have their own relay? (behind ashtray)

That is correct- 1989 740 has a relay for the front fog lights. The rear fog lights are a direct connect to the switch with no relay. If we are discussing the fronts then check the ground connection from the light harness that is located on the inside fender wall- under metal hood latch area on drivers side. My 1987 Turbo appears to have the same wiring as the 1989 and the two times I lost both at the same time the ground had become "oxidized" and if I wiggled it they came on. After the second time not working I pulled the ground block off the fender (10 mm wrench) and polished up everthing I could. That was 11 years ago and they are still working fine. Good luck Scot

Thanks for the replies. I have found the ground and it looks good and when the rain stops I will be look for the relay behind the ashtray. I appreciate the information very much. Jim b
